Psalm 34:2

My soul shall boast in the LORD. The humble shall hear of it and be glad.

1By David; when he pretended to be insane before Abimelech, who drove him away, and he departed. I will bless the LORD at all times. His praise will always be in my mouth.
2My soul shall boast in the LORD. The humble shall hear of it and be glad.
3Oh magnify the LORD with me. Let’s exalt his name together.
4I sought the LORD, and he answered me, and delivered me from all my fears.
Notice

Boasting in YHWH makes praise something others can hear, and David expects humble listeners to find gladness in what he says.
