Psalm 104:2

He covers himself with light as with a garment. He stretches out the heavens like a curtain.

1Bless the LORD, my soul. The LORD, my God, you are very great. You are clothed with honor and majesty.
2He covers himself with light as with a garment. He stretches out the heavens like a curtain.
3He lays the beams of his rooms in the waters. He makes the clouds his chariot. He walks on the wings of the wind.
4He makes his messengers winds, and his servants flames of fire.
Notice

A garment and a curtain turn familiar household things into pictures of God's majesty, making the vast heavens seem small in their Maker's hands.

Genesis 1:3God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.Light answers God's command in Genesis and serves as his garment in the psalm; both portray his authority over it.

1 John 1:7But if we walk in the light as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanses us from all sin. Both associate light with God; the psalm pictures his clothing, while John speaks of walking in the light.
Genesis 1:6God said, “Let there be an expanse in the middle of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.”Both describe God shaping the space overhead: an expanse dividing waters in Genesis and heavens stretched like a curtain in the psalm.
Isaiah 40:22It is he who sits above the circle of the earth, and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers; who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them out …Both describe God as the one who “stretches out the heavens like a curtain,” using the same image of his greatness.
