Peace can feel like a luxury. Work, family, the news, the phone that never stops buzzing. But Jesus made a strange promise: "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you" (John 14:27).
Biblical peace, shalom, is wholeness, completeness, and flourishing even in the middle of storms. Isaiah 26:3 promises, "You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you."
The key word is "steadfast." Peace comes from actively directing your mind toward God's faithfulness. Philippians 4:8 teaches this practice: "Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right... think about such things." A daily reading plan provides the structure for this mind-renewal.
This plan takes you through Scripture's richest passages on peace and rest, from the still waters of Psalm 23 to the Sabbath rhythms God designed for human flourishing. Each reading includes a journal prompt to help you identify what's stealing your peace and practice releasing it to God.
Peace is received, not achieved. These readings help you learn how.
